A multithreaded application creates two or more threads of execution that work at the same time.

C'mon man your just annoyed that somone was able to push the Phenom that far and you are scared that its closer to competing with your precious Q6600. Christ whats wrong with some friendly competition.

QUIT NOW with the lame comments such as ''Yeah so what I can push my Q6600 to 3.7ghz'' Big whoop fellas your not special because everyone can get those clocks on that chip. Even I did and im crap at overclocking.

Guess what...we dont really care about the Intel achievments here. This is an AMD news thread.

This guy was able to push the Phenom very far...further than anyone we know of. Thats great and I applaud him.

People saying ''Well I can get 3.7 from my Intel Q6600''. Well my 15 week old daughter could do that by just hitting a few keys and me saving the BIOS for her.
Thats pretty rude thing to say. I didn't know there were "AMD threads" and "Intel threads". I think it is perfectly legitimate to discuss the competition as is done so often on less sensitive topic.

I have never seen a Phenom compete with a Core 2 Quad clock for clock?

I have seen a Phenom outperform an Q6600 on several occasions. Its uncommon but it does happen.

Winrar processor performance.
http://www.techspot.com/review/93-am...ion/page8.html
Autodesk 3ds Max performance.
Thats comparing the 9700 to the Q6600.

Dont even try and tell me what is rude and what is not. I am fully aware thanks.

No there are not single amd/intel threads but I am sick and tired of seeing these NOOB fanboys trying to trash the thread with there LAME Intel talk.

Its sad and is not constructive. I dont mind constructive posts. However please if someone even thinks '' So what I can get a Q6600 to 3.7ghz'' is constructive then please let me know so I can get a better sense of your character.

Wow.

You are criticizing people for their inflammatory and deconstructive post when you say things like "NOOB fanboys", "LAME Intel talk", and "SHUT UP". Seem to me like your post does not reflect what is expected of a mature and constructive moderator.

You are 100% correct that a post of the nature "My Q6600 can do 3.6Ghz any day" is trouble, but the best thing to do is ignore it. Posting equally immature responses doesn't help, especially from a moderator.
