AMD's FX lines have always been as/more expensive. And only an FX processor (in the past) has supported multi-CPU anyways. I'm not sure about Crossfire or SLI, but i have seen dual-CPU server boards with multiple PCIE slots. Who knows if the chipset supports it or not though.

CPU-Z does not show the voltage with the online validation. He didn't grey it out.

Hmmm....it would be nice if the NB and such could be replaced on those server boards

Posts like this is an effing disgrace to overclocking.

Overclocking.. I have ALWAYS viewed it as..

A. get more out of your machine.
B. Get higher clocks with a chip than anyone else has gotten with the same chip.

Why do you think people still OC'ed P4's even when C2D's were out?

For world records, because they wanted to get it higher than anyone else has gotten it. Even if it doesnt perform as good as the C2D, its still a much bigger accomplishment than saying "lol I get 3.6 on my C2D on air".

post something useful or factual or just leave. Your un-fanboy response is childish.

Yes Im forum staff ....but...Seriously to all you Intel posters, SHUT UP.

C'mon man your just annoyed that somone was able to push the Phenom that far and you are scared that its closer to competing with your precious Q6600. Christ whats wrong with some friendly competition.

QUIT NOW with the lame comments such as ''Yeah so what I can push my Q6600 to 3.7ghz'' Big whoop fellas your not special because everyone can get those clocks on that chip. Even I did and im crap at overclocking.

Guess what...we dont really care about the Intel achievments here. This is an AMD news thread.

This guy was able to push the Phenom very far...further than anyone we know of. Thats great and I applaud him.

People saying ''Well I can get 3.7 from my Intel Q6600''. Well my 15 week old daughter could do that by just hitting a few keys and me saving the BIOS for her.

Very well said.

As for this overclock.. at those Voltages.. this could be done on good air cooling i suppose?
If so I might have to shed new light on the Phenom.

I have the Phenom 9850 and the DFI Lanparty. Here's to hoping i can do 3.2Ghz on air. My case is going to limit me. It's too small for my TRUE.

Fanboys... can't live with them... can't kill them!
Nothing a pond full of pirhanas couldn't cure.

Back on topic, that's pretty sweet for that AMD. I wouldn't want to WC it though, if I bought one for a second rig. I wonder how high it would go on air? Get one of the newer HSF that has the pipes that go directly on the CPU - should get some monster clocks. no?
