HELP WITH qx9650

Thread Starter
I recently buy a new sistem:

intel qx9650
xfx 780i
8gb DDR2 800mhz ocz ram
9800gtx
masscool air cooling
cooler master 750w ps
seagate sata 2
xp x64

.., i use it for rendering in 3d studio max & playing games in free times, anyway... i note in rendering with vray no difference of speed with my old q6600, and i discover my CPU just run @ 2.33... !!! when the qx9650 is a @3.00 default, so... i want to know if there something wrong with my little expensive cpu ( i buy it OEM package)..

Also i want to know if is posible set it by dafult or push it up between @3.00 or @4.00, i use air cooling (2500rpm) for cpu, two 120mm in a ULTRA aluminium mid tower case

some pics of my system:

Well, i just return my underclocked CPU,so i update the BIOS by the way. I read some a little more and i aventure myself to overclock to @3.33 and my temps are too highs near 70 C with 100%load with prime95 in a just 20 min. i considered its a very poor overclock to get those temps.

I return to @3.00 and my temps go back to 35-50 C (idle-load), i recently looking for a TRUE 120 for change my cheaper masscool fan. and i supose ill begin really overclock.

I read about the overclock FSB, multipler, Core speed, vcore, timings etc...

When i overclock i use the AUTO (linked) settings in memory and voltage in my MOBO (xfx 780i), it is good?, or its better manually ??
anyone knows if i set the voltage and memory manually get my temps down??

ill wait for the new cooling for more tests, i just wanna be prepared to him

well it is an extreme processor, so i don't think its odd for it to be that high for temps. if i'm wrong, someone do correct me.
