Arctic Silver 5 - How to get it on??

Hi,

I build my computer for a month or two ago.. (I know it is abit bad stuff (newbie-_-)) but anyways, I where putting the Thermal thing (Arctic Silver) on to the CPU, but took very little.

So now I've ordered a Arctic Silver 5 to use again on my CPU (And ofcourse ArctiClean 1 & 2 ). So i were wondering on how I can manage to get it on, the best way?

Do I have to only take it on the CPU, or at the "Asus Silent Knight II" also?

"Well... I bought this Arctic Silver 5 it costed 6$, but 40$ shipping (so I bought the AeroCool GateWatch 2 also

just put it on the chip or the HSF, not both, that would be too much. just put a small line down the middle about the size or a piece of rice or two

I put a dot on the cpu(supposedly a grain of rice..give or take) and then wipe the tip off(almost none on it)on the heatsink. Everyone will tell you to watch the guide on artics site, but I find that you must experiment over and over to find the right spot. Also keep in mind when it comes to amount that you should be able to do like 35+(someone will correct me)cpu's with one tube...so think small.

If you use too much it will run hot, if you go too little it will run hot. If you put enough on that it goes over the ihs then things can short out.

The goal is not to use the entire tube

Just use a small bit following AS's instructions.
