The gx2's may get a price cut but ive seen previous gen video cards sale for more than the new flagships, its certainly possible though im still skeptical myself.

If this happens then the reason will be that the GTX280 isn't going to be much more than an 8800Ultra on speed.

Yeah and if they keep up with prices with ATi it means nvidia will lose next round cause with 499 GTX280 there is very little profit made.

I second that!. Im just dying to build my new pc. My money is burning a hole in my pocket. I cant buy anything really until I get the benchies cause of the motherboard (sli or xfire). Hopefully they will get some benches up soon!

At half the cost and betterperformance? I would say that is a damn good deal. But, I don't think that it will out perform the Ultra for some reason. Next...
