If it was a joke.. it was a poor one, because even after reading it 3 more times, I don't see any joke. Seems he was serious to me.

We have this section for that stuff anyway:

The title, was to show contrast in a humorous way.

Audiophiles love the Prelude for its music and Gaming capabilities.
To most audiophiles in our forum, playback/recording is more
important then gaming sound and positioning/surround sound.
This card, is a studio grade recording card, hence is pretty
intense in terms of its performance. Thus, the Prelude is dethroned.

Hence, the humor in the idea "WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW", since the prelude is considered on of the best, god, blah blah, make the connection.

I'm glad you linked us to the humor section, we had no idea it existed, THANK YOU very much, oh kind and benevolent forum dweller.

Yes obviously, I am just going on sheer quality and price here.

In that case look at these babies http://www.benchmarkmedia.com/dac1/. The top of the line for computer audio! More expensive does not always mean better quality. Also external dac's will always receive less distortion than internal ones, making them a better buy.
