Good Intel dual-core budget processor - Page 2

The E8400 is pretty good. It's a little more spendy (~$185), but its worth every penny, plus it will last a while.

All the e21xx series chips are extreamly good OCers and will get 3 gh on just about all models even a "bad" chip. From my experiance the best overclocking of the series is the
e2160 , not sure why just some amazing chips. My 2160 trumps my 2180 by vast amounts and the vid is waaaay lower. Either way you will not notice any lag in performance for what your talking about doing with the system on any e2xxx chip.

E8400 for a budget build?! Not everyone has hundreds of dollars in the bank, dude.

I'd also recommend the E2180. The E2220 is out now, and I was thinking of getting one of those - does anyone have any OC experience with what numbers the 2220 will put up? I'm curious if it's a better buy over the 2180.
