Good luck!

Well the reason for the RROD is because the GPU pins are not soldered in properly thats why they say the towel method works because it causes the xbox to overheat, causing the solder to melt and make a better connection, but it is a temporary fix, Nice job on the Fix!!

Whats wrong with you?? Unless its been more than 3 years since you bought it all you had to do was call M$ and get a new one.

And it sounded to me like you just bought it. M$ would have given you a brand new one dont you know.

You should've lapped the heatsink while you had it off.

Because companies take anything with the "Warranty void if broken" sticker broken. Gj.

For those of you saying specific things cause the red rings...
The red ring light is actually just a generic hardware failure code. It could be the cpu, gpu, psu, ram, anything in the box really. And it could be broken solder, (awful) TIM applications, burned out chips... The list goes on. I would highly suggest checking the thermal grease for anyone who's warranty is void or expired, I doubt MS spent any extra money on researching a good grease to use (and it shows, that stuff is probably total junk, AND conductive, AND poorly applied).
