Hi

You can get acrylic from:

USPlastics

-or-

TAP Palstics

If you want to purchase locally in your area, check the Phne Book for Plastic Shops or Sign shops.

Also, If you are going to be cutting the acrylic yourself you may wish to take a look at the differences of "cast", vs. "extruded".

will lowes cut fan holes in it for you?
so cutting acrylic is not going to be as easy as using a dremel?
It is unlikely that Lowes will perform the work for you.

I use a Dremel, sidways bit, and a circle-cutting attachment.

Others use Hole saws, but they can be rather costly... and are quite the aggressive cutting implement.

I prefer the Dremel as it is a single tool that performs multilple tasks. Additionally with the Dremel one can cut any size hole from 3/4" - 12" in diameter.

This is also a very good place for all your acrylic needs (if you're in the states that is). Myself and some of my friends have used Delvie's with great success.

Delvie's Plastics Inc.
