^^you would know more than I so I trust your judgment

How about this for a case:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129043

And this for a power supply:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371009

And as for your suggestions, I like them.

I'm gonna go with the 300GB single raptor and the intel q6700 cpu like you suggested, and with the motherboard you posted.

Now at this point Everything looks good EXCEPT the PSU. now do you prefer modular cables(ones you can attach and detach) or non-modular(permanently connected ones) tell me this and i will link you a good PSU.

This is my first computer so I'm unsure on what I would need. Why would I need to attach and detach them?

lets say it comes with 4 wires and you only need 2 of them for your current components, you would be able to detach the 2 you dont need. the negative to this is it may negatively effect the performance of the psu and make it cost more.

I guess lets get the ones that cannot detach. I don't want it to slow performance and saving money is always a good thing. Unless you recommend me getting one that does detach.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256043 this may be a lot more than the previous ones you were looking at but if you planning on building a computer at this cost you want a power supply thats not going to cause you any problems and this baby will stay quiet, stay cool, and never let you down in power even if you go dual 4870x2's.

Yes, i have an objection you have no mention of a aftermarket cooler which is a neccesity on a 6700 if your going to overclock it. With a nice aftermarket cooler you 6700 will hit 3.8 on air even for a first time OCer. I suggest the Tuniq Tower or the True for a little more.
TT- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835154001
True-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835109125&Tpk=thermalright %2bextreme
thats all to get you started if you are going to have a good speaker setup IE 5.1 i would suggest getting a sound card. If your going to get a sound card i reccomend- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...tech%2bprelude
if you intrested in getting nice peripherals heres what i use/am about to buy personaly.
Speakers: Z5500- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...1120&Tpk=z5500
Keyboard: Razer Lycosa(others may suggest the logitech g11 or g15 which are also excellent keyboards i would check out reviews and pick yourself)- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823114005
Headset: Razer Barracuda(a lot of people disagree with me on this choice i may ask some others for their thoughts on a headset before you go out and buy one even though i love mine personaly)- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153002
Mouse: Razer Lachesis- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...zer%2blachesis
Mousepad: Razer exactmat(any double sided metal mousepad is good as i have a rocketfish lookalike i picked up a bestbuy one day for 20 something bucks)- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826999019
