No, if you want SLI and overclockability AND stability, it's best to stick with the nVidia Reference boards, made by XFX and EVGA. The MSI's and Asus's don't have near as good of a reputation.

Honestly, Reaper, how did you ever get so much rep with such unhelpful posts? You could have at least offered him an explanation. But I digress.....

I mean what's the maximum budget for your entire computer? If you're going for such a low resolution, then there is no point in getting an SLI motherboard, you pay a premium for something you won't need. I suggest an Asus P5K-E, it's very easy to use and set up, you may also want to look up the Gigabyte EP35.

I get rep because I go to the point. I just offered my explanation, SLI is a waste of money at such a low resolution.

Yes, you do have a good point there. What I was saying was your previous post only said no. But you didn't help him understand why nor offer him a better solution. Your second post should have been in your first post. Anyway, I didn't mean to start any sort of argument. But yes, Sgtbash, you probably don't need to go the SLI route, and if you choose to do so, you'll get even better overclockability with a non-SLI board, and you won't be as confined to those two brands. At least, from what I've read. I prefer SLI, so it's really all I know. But Reaper's a fan boy, he might be able to tell you more.

CF gives you multi-monitor support, has better drivers and scales better!

The board is decent, but there are much better boards for overclocking. How far is very far future? If it's in the not in the next 4 months, don't bother. The GT280 will be dirt cheap, and the GT200b will come out at a very low price as well.

It's a decent board. It's what I currently have, and I haven't had any real problems with it.
