HaHa........Your double dipping...Looks like your temp's are doing well from that other thread...It will settle in and drop a few more C as you go along to...Nice job..If your CPU temp's aren't where you think they should be I'd try some re-mounts on it..

lol, i dunno how that happened, but i looked at this thread and thought everyone deleted their post or something i dunno what was going on.. hehe . yeah maybe my arctic silver is not good enough or something. I think on the video card I might have to much ceramique, do I need less on the video card than on the CPU? and what about the NB's?

Oh well it doesn't hurt anything.....I get to many tabs open sometimes and double dip to..

You need just enough TIM to cover the core well and make good contact with the block...To much will hurt your temp's a lot, just like to little would..

The easiest way to learn how much to use is to mount your block then take it back off and look at the spread...See if it covers the core well and if its nice and even..

On my CPU I'll do 4 or 5 re-mounts with a new block to see what kind of temp's I can get with it then work my way back down to the lowest...I'll run it a few days each time and see how it settles in...The way I do TIM on my CPU block is I work a really thin see through layer on the block and IHS with a razor blade, I really try to work it into the metal with the razor, fill the pores up...Then I just use a dot in the center, or however your normal TIM application would be for your quad..Seems to work pretty well like that for me......
