Budget Board for AMD 6000+

Thread Starter
I am thinking of purchasing an AMD 6000+ on account of the excellent price on the chip being offered by Newegg.

Since I am relatively new to AMD, I was curious what's a good budget MB for the 6000+ ? Ideally, the board would be $50 or less with integrated video.

Thanks!

You're not gonna find much for ~$50, but I'd check out some of the biostar t-series boards.

Why would you pair a great CPU with a horrible motherboard?

If anything a weak CPU with a good motherboard will perform better.

do you need intergrated video?
This board should fit your needs if you don't:

No it doesn't need a good fan to run.

However this is a great fan and it's only $25

If you can stretch your budget $10 for a board, this Biostar seems to be pretty good:

That MB is a bit finicky and slow to BOOT, but it does OC fairly well...
I attained 3200 from my 5000+ BE that did about 3350 in a Crosshair.
