Sound Card Questions ... Sorry...

Thread Starter
But y'all are my homies so I ain't gonna go ask this question in some sound card forum where no one prolley ever goes.

I currently have the SC in my sig, but I'm thinking of replacing it and wanna know if it's worth it.

I mainly care about gaming (positional sounds) but also want it to sound really good for music.

There are two X-Fi cards I'm eyeballing at Frys. One is like $60, and it's called I think X-Fi Music (PCI-Ex). The other is $150, and it's like the Fatality Extreme Gamer or something like that (PCI-Ex).

My questions are: Do they both sound about the same for music (MP3's etc)? How about with Movies? And how much REAL difference in sound would I notice while playing games? And versus my older (originally $200) high-end Audigy2, are either of these cards really worth upgrading to?

TIA

Looks pretty badass for a soundcard, I must say ... Anyone have one?

That's new to me. Anyone have any information on this? I thought the only PCIe card X-Fi made was the Audio.

They are rather new.

If you are going to spend that much, I would personally go with the xonar d2x instead.
