Stay with my P5N-D or switch to a P35 Mobo for Quiet OC air cooled?

I really want to overclock my system but I want a stable quiet system. I dont like the way my system seems to run hot. I am now thinking of returning my P5N-D and getting a Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R, Abit IP35 or a good P35 board. What are your thoughts? I have heard that the Intel chips are more stable and run cooler. Is that right? My system seems to run hot and I dont like that. I want a quiet overclocked air cooled system. I initially wanted a SLI board but now realize I don't need it since I run @ 1440 x 900. I figure I could get better performance with P35. What are your thoughts?

Ive had both boards, and the ds3r overclocked better than the p5n-d, but that might of just been luck on my side =D

if you can, upgrade to the EP35-DS4 as the ds3 version of the EP35 sems to have some stability issues (plus the ds4 has an option to help reduce vdroop. i can keep a constant voltage on mine all under load the way to 1.4v)

and yes, all nvidia chipsets run quite hot. Inel borads are much more table and tweakable than nvidia boards.
