I'm not sure he wants a completely accurate model - just a reasonably accurate one giving the outline, etc

Based on the following I do believe he does want a pretty accurate model.

mate, your model should look like [IMG][/IMG], in order for me model it correctly.
provide me something like this, and i'll do it in my CAD & MAX.

i have so much rendering work to do but i could insert in your stuff if you could provide me your detailed data within 24hrs.

i'll give you my word...
just wanted to help.

Oh, so that's the kind of thing you're looking for. I'll sketch it up and take pics.

I tried to make it, but it's not much more than a box. There are a couple fans, but other than that there's nothing special.

Just do it anyway dude, it's what these people need to help you. They can't see the image you've created in your head, so you need to translate it to paper as perfectly as you can.

WoW...I have missed a very kool thread here. I wish I was not moving from one city to the next when it was first started.

After reading all of the comments I think that google sketch up is kool for valve work, but for 3D modelling Pro-E is better...and Solid Works ...is the BEST~!!!

Also, with Solid Works comes the ability like Max to render as well as intelligently simulate...not that your wanting all of this...just had to put that out there.

I think that I could provide you with something very quickly if you still would not mind additional cad models'.

Also I could use the support overclock prestige if you know what I mean~!
