the image in the left is the front view while the rear view is at the far right.

In the front panel, i allocate LCD poster (uppermost) 2 USB's. Audio I/O, power button and an optical drive at the bottom. while I/O panel, PCI-E bracket, 70mm intake fan, and PSU access at the bottom on the rear panel.

[IMG][/IMG]

the image in the left is the acrylic skeletal frame of your case, the image in the right shows how the main cover opens (like the LP640, haha!). the hinge is places at the top of the back panel and connects to the top cover.
your exhaust fan will be a 2 60mm fansfacing down.

i will make a follow-up post on the dimensions, material positioning and the air circulation diagram.

This case will not have an exterior shell, it will be fabricated entirely from acrylic panels that are profiled.

I am aware, I simply posted the image as that was the first case that came to mind, especially considering I have one three feet away from me right now.

This is more along the lines of what I think McStuff is after:

cuy50 ~ Understood. I did not mean to come off as abrasive or rude. Since I will be making this case I thought it would be prudent to toss my in.

The pleasure is mine...

...you see... I have 0 CAD-skills, even Sketchup proves to be challenging for me.

This helps out a lot, and I thank you.

The first one looks good. I'm on dial up, so the other ones are taking a little bit to load. EDIT: I left for a little bit to come back to the other pictures fully loaded. I do like this new concept.

Is POETICTRAGEDY's design possible? It's nice and sleek, and it puts a great spin on the plain box. And to POETIC, the case will be blue and red. I'm thinking blue shell, red skeleton. And to Syr, is the blue and red acrylic solid or transparent?

blue and red acrylic are always available, there is a mild tint and a dark tints. i suggest stick to the 5-6mm thick acrylics so that it will be tough (wont bend). and in case you like it painted (like that rendered model), i suggest using acrylic automotive paints so that they wont easily peel.
