I do agree you cannot beat the pricing if DDR2-1000 is your target.

Other aspects...not so much, but that's more because they hinge more on preference & experiences

I voted for the G.Skill, that's what I got.
The price was the main reason and it works as advertised.

@ hiiyah:

The quote of Enterprises memory faq is innacurate at this time. He wrote that faq before crucial started shipping out single sided chips. The part about Corsair is correct, however.

Most of use have turned G.Skill just because they seem to be consistent. They haven't changed much in recent years and it's great quality ram.

I have had the Ballistix and while their wild overclocking ability is great, if you push them too much they get extremely hot and will eventually burn up.

I picked up the G.Skill 1000 kit so I don't need to OC them to get desired results

There are many 2x2 GB kits that compare to the G.Skill DDR2-1000 kit.

I really don't understand the blind fanboyism toward G.Skill on these forums.

I recommend that kit because it's very well priced for DDR2-1000.

But it's nothing special in terms of capability.
It uses Powerchips like nearly every other 2x2 GB kit, & it achieves the same average overclocks.

I can pick out countless other 2x2 GB kits that will OC just as well or better.

Also, just how awesome is G.Skill's support?
Does it really compare to a company like Mushkin or Corsair?

Certainly doesn't from what i've seen.

Again, not trying to say G.Skill is bad, but wow, a little less bias & a bit more perspective would be nice to see around here.
Not really sure of the G.Skill support to be honest. Nobody's ever had any fail that I know of. That "might" be why so many like them.
