ok, the thing is it was fine for about 1.5 years, untill i got the extra 2 gig ram and isntalled vista. so im pretty sure it wont do it with only 2 sticks in. But, it was so hard to get the ram in, i had to get my dad to help lol, really it stressed me out a hellova lot, so I can't handle doing that again, and im pretty sure its the new ram thats adding some strain on the thing. I've tried all sorts, added volts on everything, taken the fsb down etc, and nothing stops it cold booting. i dont think the ram is faulty, ive run memtest for 2 hours. I think its this ds3 cold boot issue where to board doesnt supply enough volts on cold boot, but its only happening now with the extra strain from ram.

i dont know for sure but some mobos dont like 4 sticks of ram. Also make sure your bios are up to date. You may need to buy a 2x2 ram kit to make this work.
