-Corsair PSUs are infinitely better in terms of build quality(Seasonic or CWT rebrands). In fact, the rig your building could easily be powered by my sig PSU (550VX). It powers my rig flawlessly, currently my favorite PSU for it's price bracket and wattage.
-Your Patriot memory is fine, so long as it's the Viper 2x2gb 1066 kit(But the G.skill 2x2gb is proven, if only by the sheer number of OCN members who own a kit and have been pleased thus far by it)... I forgot where I read it but if I recall correctly the Viper 2x2gb 1066 kits are hand picked speed binned Powerchip ICs.
-Don't touch the zalman... Your money is better spent on any of the following Heatsinks: Thermalright Ultra 120 extreme, Tuniq Tower, Xigmatek HDT S1283, OCZ Vendetta 2.
-If you don't mind spending a little more for the motherboard, I'd suggest the Gigabyte EP45-DS3R for $150 + S/H @ Newegg
. IMHO the 65nm NB chipset alone is worth the extra $30; and the ICH10R and x8 x8 PCI-E 2.0 configuration allows for more upgrade wiggle room(ala CF).
-As for the TIM, buy Arctic Cooling MX-2 it's slightly better than AS5.
- If you want to save money on the GFX card, fxvideocards has a Zotac 8800GTS G92 for $147 + S/H after $40MIR
-Your HDD selection is perfect, if I had $200 to spend I'd buy 2x WD 640gb too.
-Pioneer DVD burner is a great choice as well, but if you want to buy a drive that cost a little less, has Lightscribe capability and ships free then there is this lite-on LH-20A1L-05 for $30 shipped free
.(I personally cannot comment on the quality of this unit as I only buy Samsung drives.)
