I wouldn't buy any graphics cards until this next wave hits the stores.

that said:

22x DVD burner: $29

Antec nine hundred: $80
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129021

X48 Lanparty: $225
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136047

2x2gb G.Skill DDR2 1000 pq's: $85
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231145

Antec TPQ 850: $150 (you'll never outgrow it... I think? haha)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371009

Q9450 (That board should give you enough FSB to deal with the relatively low multi): $340
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115042

That's about $900 right there. throw in a TRUE and you've got about $550 to spend on Graphics. I'd say 2x either HD4850 or HD4870.

Hope this helps,
Mark

If the user is trying to buy the newest one, very expensive, then yes. He's in a budget, so $1500 won't be good enough to get SLI. It's like buying extremem core processesor right now.

The new ATI cards should be in the $200-$300 range (right what he's looking at.) Even if he wants Nvidia, the 48xx cards from ATI should push the 8800/9800 prices down.
