Another q6600 or e8400 thread =P

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, been doing a look around on here, but still haven't decided on it yet. At the moment I have a q6600, but I can get a really good deal on a 8400, should I take it? Its also an es, so if I do take it ill post some extreme overclocks xD. So as far I'm leaning towards the e8400, faster for gaming, but is that the onl advantage to it?
Oh, hai.

Q6600 is good for multi tasking
E8400 is good for Gaming
Same as E7200 (overclocked)

Well considering your running the GA 965 board, Id say save your money and get a nvidia chip board and another 9600 if your interested in better gaming...

The Q6600 OC'd is a great chip

Q6600 all the way if you want a solid and reliable overclocked system.

Probably the best CPU ever made in my opinion, I've never regretted buying mine and can't see myself upgrading for a while.

I really enjoy having the Q6600. I'm not going to change anytime soon. That said, if you're looking for 4GHz+, and you don't plan on mulit-tasking very much. I would say get the E8400, especially if you can get a good deal on it.
