In Opera 9.5, you just go to the View/Toolbars menu and check Personal bar. It pretty much functions just like the bookmarks toolbar in FF. To bookmark something, all you need to do is drag the tab up to the toolbar.

Just made the switch from FF2.0...again.... Used to use opera for everything and didn't realize 9.5 is as good as it really is.

I just switched from Firefox 3 RC1 to Opera 9.5 and the pages definitely load faster. When I use either browser I have about 7 tabs open at the same time, and firefox 3 uses about 120,000K while opera 9.5 only use 90,000K. I don't get pop ups when I use Opera but when I use firefox 3 I sometimes get pop ups. I don't really care about the browser I use, but if ones uses less memory, loads pages faster, and blocks pop ups then that is the one I will choose and that is Opera 9.5. The only reason I see people using firefox is because of the plugins they have which are very neat.

Opera 9.5

Speed Dial is just win, and it feels much more slick to use than firefox.

The themes for opera just pwn as well.

My only problem at the moment is the lack of a noscript type feature, but ill figure something out.

Press F12, uncheck Enable JavaScript. No addons needed.

Even so, I wouldn't be paranoid with security while using Opera. Not to say it's immune to everything, but it has less security vulernabilities than even Firefox.

I just moved to Opera 9.5 like 2 minutes ago from FF2 and I'm flat out amazed in how much smoother it is. I'll still have to give FF3 a try once it becomes final.
