i want to put 90 degree elbows on my black ice xtreme 120 plus they need to fit 3/8 inch tubing

can anybody tell me if these elbows will be ok:
http://www.petrastechshop.com/3np1odthhoba1.html

-they are 3/8" NPT, 1/2" OD Threaded Hose Barb - 90° Elbow
they need to fit 3/8 inch tubing
and if they dont fit can anyone tell me a good alternative, thanks

I wouldn't use 90's, they are like adding 8' of tubing to your loop, 4' for each 90...You want as much flow as you can get through your rad so it will dissipate the heat well, restricting flow right at the inlet would be bad I think...Anything in your loop that causes restriction unless its directly related to picking up heat or dissipating heat is performance lost...

A Black Ice, unless its a lot older one use G1/4 fittings, so you would want a G1/4 -3/8" barb if your using 3/8" tubing. 1/4 BPST (G 1/4") Threaded to Barbed Elbow - 3/8 OD

Thats a bit of an exageration, but it does add un wanted restriction... I am currently using 4 90 degree elbows and i have plenty of flow on my loop. If you are running a big loop, i would avoid the elbows if possible, but sometimes it must be used. IMHO try the system with the elbows, and if it doesnt cool well enough, try without the elbows... But im betting you may only see a 1-2c drop in temps without the elbows if that!

Well we used to think it was only around a foot of restriction for each elbow, Martin tested it and it was 4' for each 90, which kind of surprised me...So even if you had to use an extra foot of tubing to avoid using a 90 you would be 3' or restriction ahead...
