It will fit in that case, once installed its only about 1/2" to 1" taller than the PCI slot.
Dude! its only stay at 55c load if you have your 8400 at 1.3v ( damn thats low voltage for 4.0 GHZ, keep in mind you 8400 is the 45nm right? )

In my case my E6750 (65nm) can not run 3.7GHZ at 1.3v! simply not enought voltages, i have it run at 1.45 and with the 9700 the tems is 78c after 10 hour orthos!

With my Q6600 @ 3.6ghz with 1.441v, it stays well under 70c with 25c ambient temps. You must either have A: Set it up improperly or B: Have REALLY high ambient temps

Hey dude don't compare the 65s to the 45s...these 45s are MIRACLES i swear. Its actually about 1.34v but even so thats about average for an e8400

I dont think that i set it up improperly, since i took it out and reset it 3 times, cos everyone say their temp is under 70! and on the third time i lapped it ( only 1-2c differ!!)

Dont know if the ambient temps do much in this case tho?!

Still very happy with the Ultima 90

p/s: If you see my case modding you will see that i had the 9700 ( just to prove that i am not a Ultima freak )
