I think its because you don't have a motherboard just kidding

Have you tried switching slots for the GPU? Or if your card has two vga outputs try switching them. Is the GPU seated correctly?

I doubt all the hardware is working if it doesnt post. Try removing the battery and waiting overnight and hopefully it will fix itself by morning. By chance did you kill the GPU?

Did you put new parts in or something? Or did this just happen suddenly one day?
For starters - Is this a new build, or did it just start doing this but was working fine before?

That's a rather strange error - since you should not have any VGA cables hooked up if you are using an 8800GT. Those have 2 DVI cables...

Does the computer go through the POST process...What i mean is - Do you hear the beep for indicating it's posted and you just have no video?

-or-

Is the PC not spinning up or anything and you just the message on screen?

If everything is spinning up but you simply are not getting the video...I would try the following
Try using the other DVI port
Change the cable from the monitor to the PC
Swap the GPU to a different PCI-E slot (if you have a second one)

Now - If none of these have worked...Do you have another PC to try the GPU in to see if it is working?

Do you have another monitor to try it out on?
