What's a good 22" monitor? - Page 4

Thread Starter
I can't find anywhere online to buy L226WTQ in the US. As for the ASUS, I don't really like to get open box items.

There's another thread on here started by pwnography, and he just got a 2253bw. So I think I'll wait to see what he thinks of it.

Thanks

I love my 2253BW but some of the reviews on newegg say that some of the new ones sound like they have something broken inside. Some people say they work fine like that but others don't. I just got mine last week and it is vastly superior to my ACER. There is some backlight bleeding at the top and bottom but as another post said, that is only if you have the brightness turned all the way up.

almost every monitor has backllight bleeding nowadays, especially at the top. if you go bestbuy, futureshop or any other places that displays their monitors in the open you can see that they bleed.

i have the 206BW and people told me it has no backlight bleeding and is the prefect monitor. so i bought it. but it bleeds....

here is a review for the 2253BW. took me quite a long time to find it.

Honestly, I'm sure there's still quite a few 226BW's floating around somewhere.

It is absolutely amazing, I swear by it.

Ok, right now it looks like I'll be going with the 2253bw, since it looks like there are a lot of people on here who have them and don't really have that many complaints.

Now let's see if I can get this one ordered before it gets discontinued too.

Thanks guys!

I read the review, and if I read it right the only things I noticed that they thought was bad was that there was backlight bleeding (and they had brightness set at 100%, which people on here say a normal person couldn't stand), and color saturation (which can be fixed either via the OSD or nTune). Correct me if I'm wrong.

I also would say to get the samsung if you're still trying to decide. They really can't be beat in quality and picture. I hope you make the right choice .
