Screw nvidia, they're such a childish company, I couldn't be more happy that ATI is finally putting out some killer cards. It's a shame they don't have any decent manufacturers like XFX or EVGA though.
Sapphire isn't too bad, not like XFX or EVGA but still a pretty good company.

Yeah, if I can get together enough cash for a 48xx they'd be my choice. I'd still miss what evga/xfx offers though. I know a lot of other people feel the same way and it's been stopping them from going red before. Oh well.

Now we just need AMD to pull something amazing out of their sleeve and I can rid myself of all these immature companies for good

If he is potentially hurting his performance potential by actually buying from a company he respects, then yes I would say he is proud of it.

In trying to compete with Ati on the new releases it may be that a monkey wrench has been thrown into Nvidia's supply and demand equation. They may not have enough cards ready at launch.

I'm more concerned with the fact the cards will cost insane amounts to manufacture.

very true it took me FOREVER to get something intel, and im still not 100% sold. also, with the way the current card are, ATI makes alot more sense. i make $6.55 an hour, so how ever far i can stretch it really means alot.

I hear you. To have an affordable upgrade option for my 8800GT the only way I can look is Ati (4870). I don't think 8800GT > 4580 would make sense since I paid $300 for my GT back in Nov. I don't know though.
