Blizzard’s VP of game design, Rob Pardo, was asked about the possibility of the developer creating the next Warcraft 4 real-time strategy (RTS) game in the popular series. While the MMORPG World of Warcraft has over 10 million subscribers, the franchise started out in the RTS genre, so will it be returning to its RTS roots? In an interview from last year he answered:

“Yeah, of course there’s a chance,” he confirmed.
Hopefully SC2 will hold me over until that comes out (If it ever does)

Sexy. I hope it has a good campaign creator like WC3 had, and enough people making decent custom maps. Those were, and still are, almost too much fun on WC3.

A chance? There's a chance the sun could implode in the next 10 seconds. There's a chance the zombie hordes roaming the netherworld could open a portal to "the waking realm" (as they call it) and start eating our brains. There's a chance I'll be stranded on a desert island w/ Jessica Alba next weekend and I'll rescue us using the valuable survival tips I've learned from Bear Grills when he built a raft using his just his wits (and large camera/production crew), thereby ensuring her everlasting devotion to me.

But I doubt it. "There's a chance" is kinda not saying much.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who can read binary, and those who can't.
Ya I saw it and thought it was so smart I had to sig it.

Back on topic. I have not bought a video game since WC3. That is how much fun it is.

EDIT: I have played a total of 478 hours in ladder games. Now factor in the other 500 hours in custom games, and I have spent a total of days straight playing that game. Gotta love it.
