Crysis Issue

Thread Starter
When I play Crysis the sound gets really choppy and will skip like a scratched CD would. It happens during gameplay and even a little in the opening cinematics. I thought it might be an outdated driver so I installed the most up to date one for my sound card, but the problem persists. So is it my lack of processing power making it choppy or just a deficient sound card? It happens both on low and high graphics settings. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Update your GFX driver, make sure Crysis is fully patched.

Hmm..
Your sound card is probably old or the drivers suck.

I had this problem with my rig, but I had 1.0 on the game with a DATED sound card (Sound blaster from I-don't-know-how long ago).

I updated the drivers for the card and the game and it helped alot.

My sound card is Realtek HD Audio. Do I need an upgrade?

No, it will be fine. Try reducing the sound quality in the advanced part. But I would really suggest getting that celley out of there! come on get a q6600, I know I want one.

Well, I'm working with a barebones compaq I got as a gift last summer. This is my first time upgrading my own comp, so it's a work in progress, but upgrading the CPU is definitely going to be the next thing I do.
