Most likely what you need to do is log into your router and enable the wifi (most routers have it disabled by default for security). For a linksys i believe the address for the router should be 192.168.0.1, just type that into your web browser then it should ask you to login. The default username and password is normally admin admin, or admin username and then leave password blank. You can then turn wifi on, make sure broadcast SSID is on, etc.
Actually Linksys routers have WIFI enabled by default...In all the ones I ahve ever used atleast.

Is this still an issue ?. This can actually resolve itself sometimes.
