i'm hearing a lot of good things about both of these coolers and basically i just want to know which one i should choose

I havent compared but I bought a TRUE for my Q6600 because thats what nearly everyone on this forum recommends. I am not OC'd yet but it dropped my idle from 35c to 28c. load is 35c. I still want to give it a "functional lapping" since it has a slight crown. That should lower temps even more. So I vote for TRUE

*cough*Xigmatek HDT-S1283*cough* But if you had to pick between the two, get the TRUE. I just like the HDT-S1283 because it's one of the top three coolers up there with the TRUE and Vendetta 2, but costs much less and includes a fan.
