Help!!

I tryed overclocking my intel core duo E8200 but my voltage is locked.
So when i overclock it to high my computer reboots . I am trying to increase my voltage so i can overclock more but the voltage option is locked how can i fix this ?


My specs

Intel Core duo 8200 stock cooling
4GB Ram Corsair 667MHZ
Motherboard Asus P5KPL-VM
Windows vista ultimate

Try hitting F10 when you first get into bios. I think that "unlocks" the more advanced settings. I don't have your mobo, but I'm pretty sure F10 works on a lot of mobos. I'm sure someone will come along shortly that has your mobo and can tell you for sure. But try F10 for now.

welcome to OCN!! Please take a minute to edit your system in your userCP as it will help us help you!

I don't have an asus board but on my sons you have to go to jumperfree settings and put it in manual before you have access to the vcore or clock speeds.

The problem exists with the motherboard itself. The VM branded boards scarcely overclock at all. A quick google search proves this. Sorry bud but maybe you can look into a nice sub $100 board that will overclock well.

Damn... i guess i stick with 3.02 Ghz now .
