Sorry man, life is now officially over. Good luck finding a hobby!

Hey leave the mate be. I sold my pair of 8800GT (to members here) and went with a pair of 8800GTS and still consider it a good move. They are faster stock, better and quieter cooling and overclock better.

2 x 8800gts.......450.00

or http://www.overclock.net/sale/336621...-512mb-x2.html
for 360.00, shipped. Excellent seller btw (got my board, ram and q6600 from him)

2 x 9800gtx.......500.00

1 x GTX260.......399.00

1x GTX280........649.00

Or, should i go with ATI? I can not Xfire, so it would have to be a x2 board.

I have the money for the cards, but can not spend more than 650.00. What would you guys recommend? i would like to W/C the cards as well, but i can get that later.

All of these prices are new, and do not represent the exact model i may get. i most likely will look for someone selling these cards here before buying new.
better yet... go out and get a girlfriend and stop playing games. (serious)

260GTX for sure, one for now and another later when the price drops a bit. But the best idea would be to sell the rest of the stuff, get a girlfriend, and play games with her! :O

I can get the 9800gtx for much less than the gtx260 so that has bearing as well.
You know going Tri-SLi won't be worth it..

Unless it's miracle the 3rd GPU scales as well as adding a 2nd GPU.. From what I've seen from people that have run Tri-SLi it just is not worth it at all.. Completely not worth it..

I would probably go with 2 x 8800GTS G92's.. But I would wait to see how the GTX 280 fairs.. 1GB and 512-Bit with 240 SP seems like a grand single GPU solution to me, and would allow even better upgrade-ability if you do go that route in the long run..

Ready for change? Were your pixels getting tired of being rendered by the 8800GT's? Were you having personality conflicts?
No, i felt that my gt's were constantly staring at me telling me to burn things. (obviously joking). No I just have the itch to upgrade, simple as that.

I know!! It was tough waking up this morning without seriously hurting myself.

Seriously, what is with the assumption that noone on this site can have a girlfriend or wife and still have a PC hobby?

To those that posted actually beneficial information, thank you. I am still undecided on what to do. But, the upgrade itch is really getting to me.

GTS sli FTW, 9800gtx for tri-SLI
I wouldn't pay for the 280GTX.....a waste IMO when you can guy a 9800GX2 for less and it's faster. However I would go with 2 8800GTS 512s or just wait for the 4850s and get two of them......they'll perform more than the 8800s and most likely be cheaper.
Well if you can't get a new mobo then I guess you're stuck with SLI......you could wait and see how the 4870X2 performs.

i may get the gts's, becuase i have an SLi board, so i can not get 2* 4850's. It would have to be an x2 card.
