3-4 years later, Via aqua still holding it down!!

3-4 years later, the same water cooling setup I've had, is still running great

Last night I decided to finally clean it, after 2 years of running without being cleaned.. There was SOO much algae/mold, it was grose. The filter on my pump inlet, was FILLED with 'gooey' moldy crap.. It was NASTY!

But the Via aqua 1300 pump I purchased 3-4 years ago, it still holding up! Still running my pc 24 hours a day, and still silent as can be since I modded it

Btw never had ANY leaks with my setup. Never had ANY issues. Worst issues I have had, are sometimes when I shut my pump off, sometimes it wont start back up for 1-2 minutes.. Other then that, no problems

Just figured I'd share. I used to always be worried about my stuff leaking, constantly checking it.. Now I only check my connections once every 6 months or so lol..

oh ya another thing I figure I should share lol.. My AMD DTR mobile 3400+ chip, that has been ABUSED is still holding up GREAT!

I ran it at 2vcore for over 6 months!! And about 2 years ago, one day I had my PC and pump off, and I turned hte PC on, and jumped in the shower..
I got out of the shower, and hte PC was off.. I touched the water lines, and they were BLAZING hot, SOOOO HOT.. I don't know how hot my pc got, but it got hot enough to shut it self off (without a bios shutdown temp set)
And I was an idiot, so I turned the pump ON when I realized what I did.. And about a gallon of room temp water went rushing through the water blocks.. And my motherboard started making a cracking sounds! "CRACK....CRACK......CRACK.....POP...CRACK...P OP"
After about 30 seconds of cracking sounds, it quit.. Then 5 minutes later I started it up, ran fine

/end rant.

was draining and cleaning my water system today, and decided to give another update, now two years later!

Still using my via aqua 1300! Now on my new build (built in december 09)

Also still using my original RBX block for my old s754, made my own brackets to hold it on my am3 965c3

link to my water setup
http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...e-rbx-am3.html

$20 pump, over 6 years of use, I think I got my use out of it!

Also recently I built a water setup for my friend, we got a pump on sale at lowes for $12, and it has a 6 foot head!

No real reason for this post except to show off that cheap can work good sometimes. You don't always need the highest end latest equipment for good temperatures or a good overclock.

I still one day want a fully internal setup, but the price of a full tower, plus a new pump, I can't justify when mine works perfect, and I don't have much of a desire to move my pc around often.

right now just my 965c3 amd with a RBX water block, used to also run a maze4 on my video card, but it doesn't fit my new card.

Have been too lazy to get around to modding the maze4 to fit my new video card

I used to run a 8000btu home built chiller using a old ac unit, had -30c water temps. But it was a huge hasle so just went back to basic water cooling

Did you use PT nuke? how did you have algae in your loop? I've run loops for years with no algae, are you keeping it in direct sunlight?
