9800 GX2 SSC to GTX280, IS IT WORTH IT? - Page 2

Keep your card considering you could max any GAME out right now. Crysis isn't considered a game in my book. Its more like a joint venture between Crytek and Nvidia to conquer the world.

Only in TRI SLI will these cards get insane, but for TOP DOLLAR.
i would bet any amount of money that 2 of these cards would wipe the floor with your quad sli setup

ooohhhh you got me lol

EDIT: after looking at that link i think i would rather have the 2 280 gtx cards over the GX2s still(taking away the price/preformance ratio). as the drivers mature(we all know nvidia pushes cards out the door before drivers are good and proper) performance should increase. plus , quad sli in some games is dissapointing because of poor scaling.

I would, but because the GX2 is such a piece. Microstuttering, heat issues, and just a fat card. The GTX 280 might take up the same power and create a lot of heat, but it's a SINGLE GPU. No worries about drivers and quad-sli and crap. That's just my piece

There's no way to justify the 400$ price difference. Sorry. I'd rather buy a 2nd LCD. Some of these people with crappy monitors want these cards just for e-peen purposes. What's the point of a good GPU if what you're watching stuff on sucks anyways.

Get the GX2 and step up when the price on these 3 fps improvements go down if you really need it.
