Ram Underclocking? - Page 2

I don't know if this goes for AMD too since I use Intel but.. My RAM is set for 800 MHz too (and it is the stock default). It clocks down to whatever my CPU FSB is unless I overclock the RAM. I just leave it like that.. and will continue unless someone here comes up with a solution.

Depending on the CPU multiplier RAM may or may not run at its true speed.
If OCed you also have to factor in the CPU bus speed and divider used.
http://www.overclock.net/amd-memory/...-dividers.html

Considering your CPU default is 15x, 750 seems normal ...
See the chart for 15x

The reported speed like in CPU-Z is the raw actual speed and don't account for DDR or X2, there for 377x2= 754 which the chart and a 15x multiplier confirms with in reason since the actual speed can and will vary + or - a few MHz.

Just more RAM room to OC actually

Actually, not exactly, since this board somehow only goes up to 1.95v 0_o honestly who does that.

Other then the voltage limitation, I don't follow you.

OH, I see...
If you do some searching, you might fins a volt mod for your RAM which consists of 1 of two things...
1. possibly connecting some circuits with a pencil line or other means on the MB..
2. Soldering a resistor to the MB.. very tricky.
3. A possible modded BIOS file

#3, Sorry, couldn't find a modded BIOS for your exact MB

The asus site will let you download AiBooster I think, but only if your Mobo supports it. As for everything else... DDR, or dual data rate, is just a way of saying "devide your RAM clock by 2, to equal the actual value". Hence the "Dual", an 800MHz stick of RAM will operate at 400MHz by default, and 800MHz effective.

What's your FSB/Multiplier set at?

Is it possible that the RAM is underclocking itself due to lack of voltage?
