What should I get?

Thread Starter
Should I get 2 8800gt in SLI or 2 Radeon HD 4850 in Crossfire? I'm only worried about the performance not price.

Definitely the 4850's, anyone who says otherwise is insane.

Well, we could also say wait to see reviews and benchmarks.

Unless somehow hell froze over and the 4850 manages to be weaker then the 3870 (which almost matched the 8800GT) then it's going to be a better buy.

That hasn't even been announced yet.

I would wait a week or two to see what ATI has going with their 4xxx series cards, then make a choice then. I've heard the 4xxx series is made to compete against Nvidias 8xxx and 9xxx series, so I expect them to be quite good.

If u r gaming, the 8800gts's beat the ati hands down. I read the head2head specs in maximum pc and sli beat by 70% better than xfart.

He's worried about performance, not price. Please read what he wrote. So if the GTX 280's outperforms the 4870's then he can go that route (or the GX2's).

The 8800 GT's obviously shouldn't be considered if price is no issue and he wants performance though.
