Comments/Help on airflow *pic*

Thread Starter
I wanted to know if there's anyway I can improve the airflow on this rig.
The top exhausts are the stock Antec (Tricool?) fans set to low
Ultima's fan is Scythe S-Flex (1600rpm)
Hr-03's fan is the Antec Smartcool (thermally controlled) 92mm
Intake fan is also Scythe S-Flex

I'm running a Q6700 on an XFX 680i LT SLi w/ eVGA 8800GT
Idle CPU temps are about 40°C for the hottest core and GPU is around 39°C
On Load the CPU temps go up to about 48°C and GPU to about 47°C

The 8pin cable is stretched taut and I cannot wire it around the back.
The 24pin is not actually infront of the intake, it goes around it

P182's have excellent cable management. I run all of my power cables behind the mobo tray, or on the right side of the case, and the cables I don't use, I keep them stuffed in the lower HDD cage.

I'll have some pics up of my setup in a couple minutes.

Other than cable management, everything looks good.

Perhaps an additional PCI exhaust. This is one that I made when I had a P180

It is comprised of 2 fans from a HDD cooler, and a plastic panel that I cut to shape.

1- More cable management. Get as many out of sight as you can. Use zipties to tie them together or better yet to the side of the case.

2- 80mm exhaust fan on the bottom left PCI brackets

3- Move the optical drive up and get a 120mm for intake in the drive area

4- If you want, a nice OCZ XTC for the ram.

5- One or two cold cathodes. Their cooling capacity is underestimated.

I understand i need better cable management but I cant get the 8 and 24 pin cables behind the case because they're not long enough.

At the local puter store they sell a 8" and 12" extention. I cut 1 wire of the 8 pin when putting mine together THANK god it was on the extention. I can't speak for the stock fans on your rig but Coolmaster Cosmos had POS stock fans.
