haha wow i havent thought of the extensions -_- any brand recommendations? or do any old extensions work?

in response to syr and adrien:
the pci exhaust...you mean just stick an exhaust case fan (80mm?) perpendicular to where my clear fan is?
i will move my hdd up to the middle case
and cold cathodes even though i don't have a window? does it really cool the inside?

Please excuse the picture quality but it gives you a basic idea of how I have things setup. I took my sound card out so you could see the audio cable underneath the bottom-most PCI slot.

Oh yeah, and about a week ago, I cut out a hole for an additional 120mm fan at the top of the case.

Ok so i moved the HDD to the middle tray and moved the original fan that was there so that it's up against the front panel where the grate and dust filter is.

where should i go about buying these cold cathodes? and I need to buy 2 60mm fans and quick tie them to the rear of my case?

Oh and i found that loose screw =)

Use a ruler to see how much space you have. two 60mms look neat and all, but if you have space for an 80mm, then it's easier on the ears. I used zip-ties, but you cab use any method you can think of, like...zip-ties and...superglue....zip-ties...

this is what i did instead of drilling holes in my p180. id complain but my buddy gave me the case for free, so ill refrain. dont mind the tt fan... i bought an 8 pin extension for the mobo power. it really beats having the cable run up against the zalman.

would the extra exhaust not interfere with air being able to flow to the top of the case? It seems that the majority of the intake will just be wind-tunneled past the gpu and out if I do install those fans

It depends upon the video card itself, as some (G80 GTX/Ultra, et al.) vent hot air into the case. With a standard ATX layout this would mean that warm/hot air now rises over the NB, DIMMS, CPU cooler.

I placed the 2 small 60's in the PCI slot brackets to pull that heat directly out of the case. The cfm is was minimal; enough to get the job done, but not enough to wreak havoc with the main airstream or to detract from the intake of the video card.
