Try switching ethernet ports if possible, reboot, check connector(on mobo) /connection.

Thanks for the reply...Only one port on the board. Whe I take the cable and unplug my gaming rig and plug it into this rig it works fine. Definatly a problem with the Gaming rig..Mobo Maybe? Do the ports on Mobo's go bad often? Keeps cycling and the "Netowrk Cable Unplugged" Icon keeps popping up.

Not common unless u r like me and i kick the ethernet cord when i get smoked in bf2 and it yanks on the port. Try getting a cheap pci ethernet card, I went thru 2 ports b4 getting 1. Got it from newegg for about $12, and it works better than my onboard did.

Great 4 a great price.

Try uninstalling the Ethernet "card" and then reinstalling it. Just go into device manager (right click my computer > Manage > Device manager) then reisntalling with the newest drivers. The drivers may have corrupted, otherwise, yes the port failed.

That is normal.

Not just re-installing. UNISNTALL, then reinstall, and reboot after uninstall. NOT the same and just running the installer for the drivers without doing anything first.

On some modems if you hook one computer up through usb and another through ethernet then only one will work. Thats only if you don't have a switch or router.
