Using two PCI-e cards indepenantly

Thread Starter
Hey all!

I've got a question I've been trying to get a solid answer on for quite a while and still haven't managed to, and so I figured I'd ask and see if anyone here would know -- I've got two video cards, an 8800Ultra, and an ATI X1900XT Pro, both PCI-E, now anyone who knows me knows that I'm monitor-obsessed. currently running five monitors, four off of PCI 6200's and one off the Ultra.. but I'm getting a new motherboard ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131299 ) and I was wondering if it was at all possible to plug the Ultra into one PCI-E slot, and the ATI into the second, and run multiple monitors off of each, giving me more display area for actual video apps (the 6200s can barely handle youtube or movies due to being forced on default drivers).

If anyone has any clue on this, it'd be greatly appreciated on how I might could pull this off!

Thanks

-Byzil

That shouldn't be a problem.
I've run an Nvidia card with a 3DFX card, both with the latest drivers, so I'd assume that ATI and Nvidia would also work together.

Now my question. Can two Nvidia cards be run in SLI for one monitor and an ATI card run a second monitor to have both SLI and dual monitors?
