which one sound card?

I am buying a z-5300e system and i want a nice sound card to go along. I am on a limited budget, i don't know how limited of a budget it is yet. I like creative cards, but if there is a better one for the money i would like to know about it.

I am looking for suggestions of which card to get, but if you know of a place to buy a card for a good deal i would like to know. Refurbished is fine as long as it is a trustworthy place to get it.

I went onto creative's site and put my e-mail in for information on any deals they may have in their shop. I saw some good refurbished ones in the online deals section from creative.

Could go open box. It means its' a returned product, but not faulty. It's a better card than the similarly prices Creatives because of the better quality.

also, what's the quality with the onboard sound of the gigabyte p35-3dsl? is it worth buying a separate sound card?

If you are using high quality speakers/headphones and want to hear everything, an external audio processing card is a must.

Onboard is only really good for basic computer use.

how high quality are the creative z-5300e?

Quite. Enough to warrant a external sound card.
