There are so many cards form both sides in this level of performance. Ex. 8800GS, 9600GT, 8800GT, 3850 , 3870 etc.

And suddenly a wave of red rushed through the forum...

If all these speculations of the ATi cards prove to be true, then AMD will have the IGP (though this will be in competition with nvidia and their 8200), low-end, mid, mid-high, and low-high end markets pretty well taken until nVidia can get yields up with the 55nm revision. They are only missing the expensive e-peen bleeding edge market.

It's almost as if ATi is poised to dominate every price point in the market with the HD4k series as well as regaining the single-card performance crown...I hope this is some indication of what AMD's CPU division has planned...

Fixed .

It's true though, i'm thinking a 4670 woul be nice in the 939 rig, a 4870x2 for the intel rig, and maybe a 4850 for the spider rig that i hope to build soon.

I guess this is why AMD told all of it's AIB partners that it expected it's market share to top 50% this summer.

ATI seems like the only profitable branch of AMD at this point

Thankfully.

If AMD's not making profit ANYWHERE, then it would die for sure.
