I would get SLI GTX280. Why? Because @ those resolution 1 GTX will play it @ very high and the second will give the AA and AF performance. Also you can Add a third one latter.

1 GTX 280 will do that job, of course, another one it do better but is not needed at that resolution, doesn't matter what settings you got.

SLI 280's. Reason's... TRI 260's will have heat problems with the middle card. You don't need 3 cards for that res. 16AA is prbably not doable with any set-up. Well maybe 3 280's. 4-8AA is enough to smooth things out. Power consumption on 2 280's is probably less then 3 260's.

lol @ 2x GTX 280 you only need one 1st get PCWizard 2008 here: http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php

and then run any SLI (cept 260 or 280 of course)...on the "Global bench" and note the Video Global perfromance...this ONE.....GTX280 at stock clocks outruns any SLI I've seen...and thats on my 5000 B.E. Note on the graph how the vid is maxed ^^
I can't find the link anymore but when THG first reviewed these cards he had a graph showing that in SLI the only performance increase came (as mentioned above) at high resolutions....in Tri SLI however they showed massive improvement at ANY resolution.
NOTE: use Riva Tuner to set the fan at 90% and check the box to apply at startup..or go liquid!
Price: Currently the stock clocked card is $439.00 at newegg.com

THIS guy has 2x 3870's crossfired on a Q6600@3Ghz.....( I know it not fair comparison but it only dual GPU setup I could find...thats run this Global bench.) Note also how the Q6600 smokes the 5000 B.E. even though I'm running a higher CPU clock.

Dont feel bad maximum PC magazines Dream machine 2008 ($17,000) only gets 26fps on Crysis and they ran crossfired 4870x2's
