Not that you can download from half the mirrors anyway. Last I checked they can't count downloads from the mirrors, and to keep people from being tempted, they probably won't update them until 10AM PST tomorrow.

Though, yes, bit outrageous that they weren't well prepared for today - they had the release ready around five days ago.

Nope it's FF3 alright.

Here is what mine looks like and I have no build code. Then again I'm using xp. Then again it shouldn't affect it.

The isc.org mirror, the easynews.com mirror (which is what the main page links to), and the FTP. All have the same file, they were just uploaded at different times during the 11th.

Nah. Doesn't matter though. It's all the same.

Edit: The FTP is now returning a "550: Failed to change directory." error, they might actually be updating it.

Another: Error is now "425: Failed to establish connection.". Refreshed again 5 seconds later, and it came back. Nothing changed.

OK, mozillaZine forums cleared it up. Mozilla basically slapped a new name on RC3 and re-released it as Firefox 3 final without changing anything. It's the exact same thing as RC2 (RC3 for macs), Mozilla just didn't have the common sense to change the checksum, hash, or build number, but it's officially no longer RC2/3. Just Firefox 3. Enjoy.

When I installed FF3, all my bookmarks, passwords and history "magically" rewinded 3 months >_>
Now I have to reinput my stuff...what a pain.

No problem with that if there was nothing wrong with RC3. If it ain't broken..

I just wanted to get the official final version, get all the stamps and signatures in order to put it that way. I think all my plugins that still work would've worked with RC3 anyways. Meh.
