What is my next upgrade guys?

OK, so I have a big list and unfortunately I have monetary issues until October. Which means this will most probably be the only upgrade I can do until then. Simply because I am paying way over the odds for car isnurance at the moment but it goes down in October and my pay rise also comes through in October....good month

But until then I still want to do an upgrade, just not sure which one. Hopefully you guys can help me decide!

PSU - Corsair 520W HX £66

I need a new PSU as this one is no good with a WC'ing set up. All of the wires go everywhere and with my case been shoddy I can't really hide them. I used to hide them in the bays, but my res takes that place now

Case - Either the Antec Nine Hundred £65, Antec P182 £88 or the Thermaltake Mozart TX £117

I really need a new case, the one In have now is cheap, nasty and has no consideration for cables. I chose these 3 simply because of there PSU locations. I was thinking about the Antec Nine hundred but it seems a little small. The P182 has a really clean interior but has no side window and the Mozart is really expensive

GPU - I can get a 8800GT for £100 or a HD3870 for around the same price. Do I stick with what I have or upgrade?

CPU - Could get a Q6600 for around £110 but no point really, my E6700 is capable of 3.8Ghz when I have the time to OC it.

Or I could just go the cheap route and get another set of 2GB G Skills and go 64 bit

Which upgrade route would you choose? I'm thinking of leaving the GPU for now and upgrading that in October, same with the CPU.

But I'm really unsure what to do about either the PSU or Case.

I would invest in a solid case right now. Depending on your case, it may make your PSU situation a little more bearable and the CPU/GPU's you might as well wait till 4th quarter when a LOT of developments in those area are going to debut just in time for the holidays.

If you like big cases see if you can get a CM Stacker 810, I love those. The 900 is actually kind of cramped if you have a lot of stuff in it. I know from building many systems with that case. P180s can be cramped as well especially with a water system. They are great cases though just lacking in space which is why i like the 810. Just my two cents.

Thats tricky. I think you would get more enjoyment out of a GPU upgrade, but now is a lousy time to buy a GPU with new ranges coming out the older GPUs will fall in price (possibly?!)
The PSU you can live with - whats wrong with a little mess.

CPU would give you little to no benefit.

RAM, hmm I think that can wait 'till October, I haven't seen a huge gain out of 64-bit/4GB RAM.

I think I would go for a new case - I really dislike aspire cases, as for what one thats a personal choice.

GPU or case IMO.

I just got an Antec P180 for a build for my sister and am seriously impressed with that case. I haven't gotten very far, but it really is impressive the thought and planning that goes into them. I'd go for case - just my two cents, though...

Free economy delivery. Novatech are pretty good, I bought my PSU off them - no probs.

Get a new case, you'll really appreciate it. I used to have an Aspire X-Plorer (my first case), and I thought it was junk. 4gigs would also be nice.

Well everything is pointing towards the case Which was my original plan.

I agree that my current PSU is fine, and with the right case it will not be problem. But the thing is, is I have just built a fresh loop two weeks ago. That would cost £20+ to rip apart and put into a new case.

Which means a £90 case will essentially cost £110, but I get payed tomorrow. Have £100 car tax to pay at the end of the month and then will see what my financial situation is.

I will definitely look into the CM 810, I liked the 690 as it is essentially a dumbed down Ante nine Hundred and only costs £65.

Thanks for the opinions guys Rep +
