Likely the 4850 for me. Its price is within reach of my $20 weekly allowance (lol) and the price/performance is one of the best yet. ATI is finally coming back
post #143 of 152
if it's at a good price when it's launched i'm getting a 4870X2,if not i'll just grab a 4850/70.
long story short,I'M GOING ATI!

Depends when I need a new one. I buy new cards when I need one, not just because there's a new one on the block. With that said, I might buy a 4870x2 and slide this card down into another computer.

But more importantly, if you look at the numbers for people who say they are upgrading to the new cards, ATI is capturing more than 75% of those people. That's quite an impressive feat and I imagine that number will only increase when HD4870X2 is released.

Another poll on TechReport has 85% of users preferring ATI's new cards over Nvidia's offerings. If this trend is reflected in the actual market, AMD's market share predictions are looking much more realistic.

I got a pair of 4870's on their release (having gone from a pair of 8800GTS G92's in SLI) and thus far, I'm very impressed.

As I see Nvidia will lose a lot of money when 4870X2 came out. Well they are already loosing money.
