idk.. i never wanna go Vista, so DX10.1 is down the drain.. and 300 FPS on css max everything at 1900x1200 is good enough for me.. this 7800 is still holding for me!

But i'm sure ill get a 9800GT or ATi 48xx.. i dont want all that GTX/GX2 stuff.. too hot and over the top

No option for no new card(s) in the foreseeable future so I voted too poor. my GT should hold me over for quite a while.

For me it depends on the benchmarks. If ATI's new cards live up to the hype in official reviews, then I'm thinking either a 4850 or 4870, to be joined by another one probably later (I'd need a new PSU in that case and don't want to spend

All the talk about the new ATI stuff encouraged me to get an X38 board for a new build. If ATI disappoints, I might go for a GTX 260 if the prices drop to $350 or so (as they're rumored to soon after ATI releases the 4870).

At any rate, Tweaktown is saying the launch has been moved up, and the NDA will be lifted in a few hours:

with the recent talk about the 4870 and some unofficial benches of the 48 series, i may switch over to ATI. I have always loved nvidia, but they really need to step it up, they are pulling an "AMD" releasing little step ups way to often and not focusing on the next big leap.

so IMO, 4870 will be my next card.

Decided to go with GTX 280. Now that 4850 reviews are out. I don't want microstuttering so the single GPU setup seems the wisest right now. Especially for Age of Conan.
