  • 5-6 fans
  • 2x DVD IDE Drives
  • 1x 8800GT

Would the addition of a Velociraptor throw me over the edge?

If not, how about that plus another 8800GT? or am i getting ****y?
i think youd do fine with the addition of a velociraptor, but the 8800gt might be pushing the envelope. also, i had to think about what that said about being c o c k y. "what four letter word with a 'y' on it doesnt pass the language filter?"

Ah good point, kpo. Some dishonest power supply makers tend to add unnecessary amperage onto the 3.3v and 5v lines; artificially inflating the wattage rating.. So ya, that's not even close to being a 'true' 580w psu. 30A is pushing it for a single card setup with an oc'd quad. You can get away with adding the HD, but another 8800gt will definately push you over the edge.
